ERWEKA offers analyzers for testing the hardness, melting point, penetration and disintegration of suppositories, which comply with the latest specifications according to USP / EP:
ST 35 - suppository disintegration tester with three test stations located in a four-liter glass container with an additional magnetic stirrer and water bath.
The main features and benefits include:
• Automatic rotation of test stations 180°
• Built-in instantaneous heater with an accuracy of ± 0.2° C
• Membrane keyboard
• 2 LED displays
SBT-2 - suppository hardness tester consists of an electrically heated chamber with a built-in sample holder and a number of replaceable plastic inserts for receiving different sized suppositories. After reaching the desired temperature, the hardness is checked by weights, which are gradually placed on the device until the suppository breaks.
SSP - tester for measuring the melting point of suppository samples. It consists of a graduated tube with a built-in glass test chamber. The sample to be tested is placed in a spirally shaped glass basket inside the test chamber, surrounded by a water jacket.
The main features and benefits include:
• Circulation heater EST 2
• IQ / OQ documents
PM 30 - tester measuring the softening time of suppositories. The PM 30 penetration tester (compatible with EP, type A apparatus) and PM 3 (according to EP, type B apparatus) are designed to perform reproducible measurements with respect to the softening time of the suppositories at predetermined temperatures.
