K-Alpha X-ray Photoelectron Spectrometer System (XPS)

The K-Alpha X-ray photoelectron spectrometer has a highly efficient, micro-focused, X-ray monochromator, which allows the operator to refine the analyzed area to the desired one. Highly efficient, electronic lenses, a hemispherical analyzer and a multi-channel detector lead to a better signal-to-noise ratio, better detection and faster processing of the received data.

K-Alpha X-ray photoelectron spectrometer has the ability to capture and obtain a chemical picture of the surface. A small part of the surface can be visualized to a size larger than the actual ones.

The optical viewing system has capabilities that allow rapid capture and refinement of the analysis.

The K-Alpha X-ray spectrometer can also present a profile in depth using an automatically optimized source and leads to better performance.

Analyzer:

• 180⁰ dual-focus, hemispherical analyzer;
• Highly efficient, ion transfer lenses;
• 128-channel detector.

X-ray source:

• Al Kα microfocused monochromator;
• Selectable spot size 50-400 µm with a step of 5 µm;
• High performance with low power (72 W).

Ion source

• Energy range 200 eV - 4000 eV

Sample characteristics

• Sample holder with movement along the four axes;
• Sample area 60x60 mm;
• Maximum sample thickness 20 mm.

Vacuum system

• Two turbo molecular pumps with a flow rate of 260 l / sec;
• Automatic start, has three filaments.
