Thermo Scientific™ Cindion™ Combustion IC System

Revolutionizing halogen, sulfur, and PFAS analysis with seamless combustion-ion chromatography

What is it?

The Cindion system is a fully integrated Combustion-Ion Chromatography (C-IC) platform designed for high-sensitivity, high-throughput analysis of halogens (F, Cl, Br, I), sulfur compounds, and adsorbable organic fluorine (AOF) in solid, liquid, and gaseous matrices. It unites combustion, absorption, and ion chromatography in a compact, automated solution.

Key Features:

Compact and efficient: Innovative Z-shaped furnace with integrated combustion/absorption module minimizes system volume and bench space.
PFAS-safe path: Built with PFAS-safe materials to reduce background and meet EPA Method 1621 standards for AOF analysis.
All-in-one automation: Seamlessly controlled through Thermo Scientific™ Chromeleon™ CDS, including combustion and IC.
Reagent-free IC (RFIC): Leverages eluent generation, and electrolytic suppression for safer, stable operation with minimal maintenance.
Flexible configurations: Supports a wide range of applications and sample types – from wastewater to food packaging to petrochemicals.

Who is it for?

Cindion is ideal for laboratories in:

Environmental monitoring (EPA Method 1621, AOF, halogens)
Food safety and packaging
Petrochemicals, polymers, electronics
Industrial materials and waste management

Why choose Cindion?

High sensitivity, faster results: Analyze samples in under 12 minutes, no extensive prep required
Minimal maintenance: Skip complex digestion steps with automated combustion
PFAS detection compliance: Automated AOF measurement for full PFAS screening
Optimized for performance & cost-efficiency: Small footprint, lower consumables, faster ROI

Summary

The Cindion Combustion IC System redefines ease-of-use and analytical power for challenging halogen, sulfur, and PFAS analysis – an all-in-one C-IC solution for modern, high-demand laboratories.
